Dorgu has made an encouraging start to life in England, following his switch in the winter-transfer-window from Serie A side Lecce.
The prolific youngster received high marks for his performance in the 2-2 draw against Everton at Goodison Park and on Tuesday morning he was praised by Amorim when the Portuguese coach was asked about his thoughts on Dorgu’s contribution to his early United career.
“I think the one important thing is that he’s really excited to be here and you can feel it every day,” explained Ruben. “So it’s something that I’m really happy with, because he understood how lucky he is to play for a club like ours”, says Amorim to the United website.
“He’s playing really well in the context that it is really hard, but he’s showing a lot of things that we thought when we bring a player like him in – a young player.”
“He has the pace, he has the quality, he can play both sides, but he’s playing on the left. I think he’s feeling a little bit more free. He’s going to be a very good player for us now and in the future.”
Dorgu will presumably be in action again Wednesday evening when United face Ipswich at Old Trafford.
